Magnolia Flower

The native range of Magnolia grandiflora is the Gulf's coastal plain to the South Atlantic states. Its leaves are dark green, stiff, and leathery. In late spring, the flowers -- up to 12 inches across -- emerge -- with a hint of lemon citronella.
