The Dancing Geisha Cat Bookmark

This dancing cat, whirling in a voluptuous, geisha costume, was painted by utagawa kuniyoshi, a reknowned ukiyo-e woodblock artist of the 19th century japan. To get around a censorship code banning representations of kabuki actors and geishas, kuniyoshi would often illustrate famous kabuki actors in an animal form.
